Store Hours are Monday - Saturday  9am - 6pm, Closed on Sunday

ReStore Volunteer Guidelines

 We rely on volunteers to help us here at the ReStore.  We hope the following guidelines will help to clarify our necessary rules.

• Sign in and out each day.
• Dress appropriately and according to Restore’s dress code.
• Understand the dress code prohibits wearing: halter/tank tops, TIGHT TOPS, excessive make-up and jewelry, daisy dukes, shirts with offensive writing or pictures, open-toed shoes.
• Wearing SAGGING pants is prohibited at all times and at all work sites for YOUR OWN SAFETY.  Pants must be worn so that they remain at the WAISTLINE.
• Jeans and loose fitting T-shirts and sturdy tennis shoes are acceptable.  Remember you may get dirty or snag your clothes so don’t wear the very best that you have.
• Do not bring to the work site anything that will distract such as electronic games or headphones attached to any device.
• CELL PHONES ARE TO BE USED ON BREAKS AND OFF THE FLOOR ONLY!
• SMOKING IS TO BE DONE IN THE BACK ON BREAKS ONLY!—and you must be 18 years old or older.
• DO NOT REQUEST OR ACCEPT TIPS FOR LOADING OR UNLOADING.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!  Anyone found doing so will be sent home –NO EXCEPTIONS.

A Typical Day at the ReStore may include...

Merchandising

• Displaying products for sale
  
• Organizing and cleaning areas to make shopping easier for customers
  

Customer Service

• Helping customers find the items they need
  
• Assisting customers by carrying purchases to their car
  
• Answering questions
  

Landscaping

• Weed flower beds
  
• Pick up trash around the building
  

Receiving

• Assisting donors who bring large donations to the store
  
• Unloading donation truck
  
• Preparing items for merchandising (cleaning, pricing, etc.)
