Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Several parking decks are nearby, or consider using a rideshare service.
What Do I Need to Bring?
Nothing! This is a ticketless event. Simply check in at registration with your name.
If you haven’t already, you’ll also be asked to add a credit card at registration to make bidding and checkout quick and easy.
What Should I Expect When I Arrive?
Start the evening by walking through the framing of a future Richmond Habitat home right outside the Altria Theater. Laurel Street will be closed to traffic so guests can explore the structure and sign the framing with a message for the future homeowner.
After the Gala, the framing will be used in an actual Richmond Habitat home, so you’ll literally leave your mark on affordable homeownership in our community!

What’s the Schedule?
- 5:30 p.m. | Doors Open: Walk through and sign the framed Habitat home.
- Cocktail Hour: Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, music and our silent auction.
- Dinner & Program: Celebrate 40 years of impact with dinner, a homeowner story and special awards.
- Live Auction & Roof Raise: Bid on live auction packages and help us raise the roof for Richmond Habitat’s next 40 years!
What Should I Wear?
The attire for the evening is semi-formal/business attire. Whether that means a cocktail dress, suit, blazer or your favorite party-ready look, we want you to feel comfortable and ready for a memorable night.
Tell Me About the Silent Auction
Our silent auction will go live several days before the Gala, so you can start bidding from home! At the event, you can continue bidding from your phone or ask a team member for assistance.
Keep an eye on your favorites because bidding closes at 8 p.m.

Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win half of the total pot, with the other half supporting Richmond Habitat!

Purchase tickets at the Gala or ahead of time through our online auction site. The winning number will be announced during the program.

What Is the Roof Raise?
Help us raise the roof by raising your paddle!
During the program, you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct gift to Richmond Habitat. Every donation will help us build and repair more homes and expand access to affordable homeownership throughout the Richmond region.

Since 1986, homeowners, volunteers, donors and community partners have come together around the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live.
