We are going to kick off our ReStore Upcycle blog series with Tiny House Glass! They are constantly purchasing different kinds of home materials and glasses for their stained glass and resin work.
Tiny House Glass started with her first amazing glass piece in October 2020 after a ton of research and trying to source supplies during the pandemic. After losing her Memaw to Alzheimer’s, she inherited some of her glassworking supplies. This has been a creative and therapeutic outlet and a way for her to feel connected to her Memaw.
When it comes to the material, she looks for colored and textured glass that light would refract beautifully over. Smaller glass items that she can keep intact, or larger pieces that can be cut or broken to better fit a resin window. She most recently purchased glass plates and goblets from the northside ReStore for her glasswork.
