We hope you all are enjoying our ReStore Upcycle series so far! This week we are introducing an old friend of ours, Angel Booth! Angel is the owner and lead stager at Vignettes Home Staging, RVA’s “Stage for Hope” professional home staging company. Angel opened Vignettes in the spring of 2017. When she started her home staging company, she wanted to add a philanthropic element to her business model. She wanted to be invested in her community.
“Being a homeowner was one of my biggest personal dreams. And being in the field of real estate marketing, I knew I wanted to support the dream of homeownership for others in the community,” Angel said.
Habitat’s mission and vision to provide affordable housing aligned directly with what she wanted to accomplish with her business, so she started work with Habitat with Vignette’s “Stage for Hope” program.
Vignettes specialize in “luxury metropolitan” vacant staging. She has done some very amazing projects. The following pictures feature one of the very first projects that she is very proud of in Church Hill. It exemplified what she wanted to do when she opened Vignettes Home Staging: introduce an aesthetic to the local staging industry that she didn’t see before she started.
Even though she has not shopped at the ReStore personally, Angel has donated slightly used staging inventory to ReStore to support the mission of Habitat. As a staging expert shopping for staging inventory, she is usually looking for neutral furniture with clean lines. She is also always looking for large-scale art and accessories, and coffee table books. She always loves to buy accessories in sets of two. She shared some very good tips with us for our ReStore customers to shop for your own space at ReStore: have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. ReStore offers everything from furniture and art to construction supplies and hardware. Not only can you find a new art piece or vintage dining chairs, but more practical items like air filters and mailboxes.
