Join Habitat Young Professionals

Our mission as young community leaders is to bring awareness to Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity (RMHFH) through advocacy, volunteering and fundraising efforts that will build homes, communities and hope.

Five Functions of Habitat Young Professionals:

  1. Volunteering with Richmond Habitat to help accomplish the our mission.
  2. Educating the community and your network about Richmond Habitat.
  3. Advocating on behalf of people in need of decent shelter and for an end to poverty housing and homelessness.
  4. Raising funds to further the work of Richmond Habitat.
  5. Participating and creating space for transformational leadership and professional development.
Leadership Committee:
This group meets monthly and is the leadership of HYP. They work to plan the quarterly social and volunteer opportunities for membership and are the primary drivers and planners of HYP’s yearly fundraiser. Spots within this group are limited, and will be open to membership as needed.

Membership:

Being a member of HYP is a wonderful way to get involved with Richmond Habitat and meet other young professionals in our community! Every quarter volunteer opportunities and socials will be planned and open to members of this group.

Help Revitalize the Richmond Community, Today

We help as many families as we can, but the lack of affordable, safe housing remains a critical problem in our area. Habitat for Humanity in the Richmond Metropolitan area is committed to making affordable and safe housing a reality for low-income families. And with the help of donations, volunteers, proceeds from our ReStore, and hard work from our home buyers, we’re making that dream possible for hundreds of residents in the Richmond Metropolitan area.
