Richmond Habitat Promotes Whitney Guthrie to Vice President of Community Engagement

Richmond, VA (July 26, 2024)Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity (RMHFH) is pleased to announce Whitney Guthrie has been promoted to Vice President of Community Engagement. 

Whitney joined Richmond Habitat in February 2012 and has significantly grown the Community Engagement department over that time. In her role, she is responsible for management of volunteer operations, as well as programs related to community engagement and outreach. She recently finished up a term as President on the board of the local Association for Volunteer Administration. Prior to joining Richmond Habitat, Whitney served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for two years at United Way of York County in Maine, and was a member of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps before that.

“Whitney always goes above and beyond,” RMHFH COO Matt Waring said. “Her passion for Habitat and our mission is inspiring. She’s worked hard to make Richmond Habitat a premier volunteer-led organization in the region, and she is extremely deserving of this promotion.”
