Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity Appoints Matt Waring as Interim Chief Operating Officer

Richmond, VA (September 13, 2023)Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity (RMHFH) is pleased to announce Matt Waring as the Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the organization.

Matt joined Richmond Habitat in July 2022, taking on the role of Vice President of Construction and Real Estate. He managed a team of 11 individuals and coordinated all aspects of construction to successfully build homes for Richmond Habitat families. Matt has spent most of his career in the construction industry, previously serving as the Technical Director at Viridiant. He is known for his strong leadership abilities, non-profit experience, and his thought leadership in housing construction.

In this new role, Matt will provide day-to-day leadership and management that aligns with RMHFH’s mission and core values. He will oversee the Homeowner Services, Community Engagement, Communications, and Retail Operations departments, ensuring the implementation of effective operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems.
