Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Meeting & Appreciation Event! We had a great time celebrating our collective accomplishments from the past fiscal year with our staff, board and committee members, homeowners, volunteers, and community members.
With your help in Fiscal Year 2025 (July 2024-June 2025):
- We helped 33 families find strength, stability, and shelter through our Homeownership, Home Repair, Rental, and Global Tithe programs.
- We had 1,697 dedicated volunteers show up 4,791 times, giving 25,903 hours to help move our mission forward.
- Our ReStore donations team and truck crew coordinated 2,222 pickups of donated items from commercial and residential donors. These pick-ups, as well as drop-off donations from customers, helped us keep 2.8 million pounds of usable materials out of landfills!
A big part of this work is possible thanks to the generosity of our Community Partners, who support us in many ways - from donating money, land, building materials, and/or items to our ReStores to volunteering and providing opportunities for Habitat to engage with the community!
Thank you to this year's seven Community Partners:
- Virginia Commonwealth University
- Woodforest National Bank
- Bon Secours
- Chesterfield County
- Kempsville Building Materials
- Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral
- David Esteppe with The Armstrong Company
We also take time during this event to recognize the people who show up consistently for Richmond Habitat: our dedicated Weekday Crews who volunteer on our home build sites and in our ReStores, and our staff who keep us running.
Congratulations to our Employee of the Year, Doreen Caravaglia, and our Rising Star of the Year, Allie Hansen!
Our CEO, Dave Neary, who joined us at the beginning of 2025, closed the event by building excitement for the future at Richmond Habitat. We are looking forward to making an even greater impact next year and celebrating our 40th Anniversary and 400th Habitat Home Build in 2026!
